Diseños conceptuales de varias escenas de Justice League: Mortal

Mucho antes de que Liga de la Justicia llegase a los cines, Warner Bros. ya intentó adaptar los cómics del equipo de superhéroes a la gran pantalla con la ayuda del director George Miller en Justice League: Mortal. Ya os hablamos múltiples veces de este proyecto, que se canceló justo antes de entrar en producción debido a problemas económicos relaciones con impuestos y subvenciones.

Ahora, Matt Hatton ha publicado en Internet varios diseños conceptuales pertenecientes a diversas escenas de la película. En los diseños vemos al Fortaleza de la Soledad, el funeral de Batman con los miembros de la Liga vistiendo versiones en negro de sus trajes, la Mansión Wayne, etc.

Back to Wayne Manor – a smaller room off the main hall. This one was a bit of an exercise in being opulent/ornate without blowing the budget. This one was crazy! So remember how Superman brought Kent Farmhouse to the Fortress of Solitude? It went through a whole arc where George thought maybe bringing the whole thing there was a bit on the nose (Supes was having an existential crisis about his identity/loyalties) so maybe inside it’s a bit frosted over. Then maybe the house is real but the furniture is made from ice (heat vision)? Then maybe the other furnishings? BAT-SEGUE! To the world of animation! I did set design and a touch of character stuff for the Lego Batman Movie. It was a lot of fun and worked with some amazing people. So here we have a different kind of Wayne Manor. This wasn’t in the script and though it was in the trailers didn’t make it to the movie, but God bless my bosses Grant Freckelton and Chris McKay, they went with it and animated it anyway. My thinking was that if we were gonna have Bruce moping about at home of course he’d have an indoor pool So of course it’s the most outrageous pool ever. So I had two floors of four infinity pools (joined by moats, duh) into the main pool below. And a huge Frank Lloyd Wright window up top.
